Italian Kitchens with Real Style. Italian kitchen areas are well-known worldwide for their high degree of style that does not compromise in the tiniest on capability. Yet what makes a really Italian kitchen area?

There are 2 distinct kinds of Italian cooking areas - timeless as well as modern. So as soon as you've decide you want an Italian style cooking area you then have to make the option about whether you desire it to be much more standard or extremely contemporary.

Timeless Italian kitchen areas are warm, welcoming spaces that take us right back to old Italy. They're the kind if kitchens you can see large households all cooking together in. They usually have wood cupboards and also a table in the middle of the room which contributes to the family related high quality of the kitchen area. These kitchen areas are much better fit to households and also people that take pleasure in the more rustic design.

A contemporary Italian cooking area is extremely sleek as well as modern-day. The surfaces and cabinet doors will certainly be much smoother and have cleaner lines. These cooking areas are thought about to be ultra hip as well as are usually located in young couple's houses or suited expensive city houses.

|| COLOUR PALETTE 1 | AMBER

During the first part of the year, when the Christmas decorations have been packed away, rooms can seem flat and dull. Soft furnishings, ornaments, flowers and lighting are an easy way to inject warmth and enliven a scheme.  This is the first of my suggested colour palettes using warm yellow ochres, rich amber, gold set against metal greys of zinc, pewter and nickel.  These are easily teamed with oyster beige and whites enabling them to fit into any neutral scheme. KEY ELEMENTS:   1.Textures: furs,  cracked and scratched surfaces, velvet, silk 2.Patterns:   geodes, rock strata, crystals, reptile,  woodgrain   3.Finishes: gilded and reflective surfaces, translucence, lustre, matt and dry finishes Above image: SCDA Architects  contemporary living room featuring greyed oak shelving and concealed lighting   Above images: 1. || AIR PLANTS | TILLANDSIA

 TILLANDSIA is a genus of around 650 species of evergreen, perennial flowering plants in the Bromeliaceae  family . They are more commonly known as AIR PLANTS because of their natural propensity to cling wherever conditions permit: tree branches, bare rocks etc. Most Tillandsia are EPIPHYTES translating to 'upon a plant' and do not grow in soil. They can be simply glued in position, tucked into a frame or just placed in a pot and therefore make for decorative and easy-to-care-for houseplants. Here are a few of my favourite inspirational pictures.
